Claire is a research assistant at JG focused on behavioral health. She also has interests in demography and human-technology interaction. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in sociology and a minor in quantitative methods. Claire loves using research methods to investigate timely and important issues, and to put research to work for the public good. She particularly enjoys quantitative methods and disseminating and communicating findings to diverse audiences, though she’s always eager to learn new methods along the way. She has previously worked on sociological research projects at the University of Michigan and the University of Pennsylvania, most notably on a project examining the accessibility of child care across the United States and its effects on parents’ career outcomes. She has also contributed to research on immigration and gerontology.

Claire currently lives in Chicago but grew up in Michigan and Colorado. Outside of work, she enjoys swimming in Lake Michigan, collaging, traveling, and fostering cats.
